Idols in the backstages before a concert. The term idol refers mainly to young artists of both sexes, selected for their physique at auditions organized by production companies and artists' agencies. They train them in singing, dancing and acting, to promote their perfect image and exploit it in many products and media aimed at a teenage or kidult audience. Their careers are short and they are then abandoned by their producers who do not renew their contracts, and often return to anonymity.
